Cigna Healthcare, a national provider of health care and insurance services, needed to consolidate two existing offices to one central office to allow for better departmental organization and interdepartmental continuity. The design called for a new buildout of 4 floors in an existing office building in Houston, TX totaling 80,000 of usable square feet. The program included a mixture of workstations, executive offices, huddle spaces, and break/cafe areas on each floor. Emphasis was placed on collaboration and providing unique wayfinding and branding elements throughout to highlight collaborative team areas. HSB also goes beyond the traditional A/E firm services to provide services from preliminary design, through tenant move coordination. The firm coordinated and assisted CIGNA in the furniture design and selection, security system design, and cabling design.
