Project Description
HSB Architects + Engineers collaborated with Richardson Design to bring Dante Boccuzzi’s latest sushi concept to life within Valor Acres, Brecksville’s ambitious new mixed-use development.
The restaurant’s design draws inspiration from the traditional Japanese masu—a precisely crafted wooden box historically used to measure rice. Its simple geometry, natural materiality, and disciplined proportions informed the architecture, millwork, and layered interior details throughout the space.
Warm wood tones, sculptural lighting, rich textures, and carefully framed views create an intimate, moody atmosphere that feels both contemporary and rooted in Japanese tradition. The restrained material palette and immersive environment heighten the sense of occasion, transporting guests beyond the surrounding development and into a refined, destination dining experience.
The result is a distinctive restaurant that reflects Chef Dante Boccuzzi’s culinary vision while adding a memorable hospitality anchor to the evolving Valor Acres community.
