HSB took place in a hand's on, full-scale design competition for a Tree house located on Stan Hywet Halls grounds. The intent behind the competition was to offer an alternative way of viewing the landscaped grounds of Stan Hywet Hall. HSB was one of Nine tree houses and two pieces of tree art that were selected from over 50 designs submitted by local artists and architects. The competition was very unique in that the awarded submissions were actually designed and physically built by the teams. HSB incorporated all of their staff (engineers included) in order to realize this one-of-a-kind, ADA compliant Tree House.
