Project Description

As a retailer of men’s clothing and accessories, arch. realized their first concept and location at Van Aken Market Hall. When taking over the existing compact and raw space, the team was able to work around the constraints of budget, existing infrastructure, merchandising, and desired aesthetic. Ultimately, establishing simplicity and symmetry across all elements proved to be the solution. A mixture of raw concrete and steel with warm wood tones and tactile fabrics helps bring the space together, all while providing a calming and welcoming environment for patrons.
