Project Description
Aramark and HSB worked closely with the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to redesign seven different areas of food service zones. The updates meant additions of a variety of drink markets and concession vendor kiosk upgrades. Each area received its own face lift, providing a vibrant, fresh look with improved efficiencies to facilities.
HSB and Aramark partnered with local companies such as La Columbe Coffee during the design process to ensure that brand identities were represented well. Other areas were designed with the flexibility to change out vendors without changing architectural design. To do this, large LED monitors were added above vendor stands to display branding as necessary. Integrated accent light was also provided on the facade of these stands to enhance the presence of the vendor at that given time.
All of these updates improve the operations meant to serve the thousands of patrons that occupy the arena on a daily basis.
