Slyman’s Tavern has developed a legacy in Cleveland, serving local customers for over 50 years. Through a collaborative design process with the Slyman’s team, HSB worked to capture the nostalgia of the tried and true original locations within the next suburban venture. Material, fixture, and furnishing selections pay homage to the original locations. At the same time, updated design schemes create a more contemporary space that better functions with the latest commercial kitchen trends. Most of the infrastructural elements of the existing site were kept. At the same time, the façade was entirely re-imagined by re-skinning the building with new materials and refocusing the entry.
